About Us
Tracy Malmstrom (founder of Art Castle), and Gail Carlson have joined forces to give ArtCastle a unique combination of award winning Art and Clay programs that are not offered anywhere else in this area.  Art Castle offers a variety of classes and Art Workshops for Children ages 5 to 15. 
 
Company history
This the fifth year for the Art Castle School of Art and Clay.  Offering fine art classes for kids ages 5 and up since June of 2006.  Gail Carlson joined Art Castle September of 2011 to teach our fine art homeschool classes.
 
Tracy Malmstrom is the founder of ArtCastle School of Art, an award winning art teacher and graphic designer. She taught Elementary art at W.A. Porter Elementary School in the Birdville School District for 5 years.  Tracy had so many requests for private art lessons and graphic art design that the Art Castle just seemed like the obvious next move.  She opened the award winning Art Castle School of Art in 2007 housing her art studio on the second floor and a kids art gallery on the first floor.
  
 
Gail Carlson has discovered a passion for teaching art.  When Gail's children entered school in the Birdville she found out that Birdville did not have paid art teachers in their elementary schools.  She immediatly started volunteering as an art teacher and continued to teach Elementary art in the Birdville School district for nine years.  Three years at Smithfield Elementary and the last six years at Walker Creek Elementary.  She says it's gratifying to see the learning process, concepts, creativity and techniques grow student's self esteem and confidence.  Gail has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in graphic design.  Gail has worked as an Art Director for printing companies, retail stores and an advertising agency.

My kids have been taking Homeschool art classes from Ms. Tracy for several years. When she opened up the Art Castle three years ago, we were so excited! Then Ms. Betty added her clay classes to Ms. Tracy's art classes. Now my kids get a well-rounded education in a wide variety of artistic media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and clay. My kids love going there, because the teachers are kind and supportive, and they tailor their teaching to each individual's talent and needs.

What I like best is that there is no contract involved--it's pay as you--and if you miss a class, you can make it up any time during the week. Then there's the monthly "Kids' Night Out", which my kids just love, and which gives my husband and me a "date night" now and then.

If you want your children to get a well-rounded art education in a safe, positive atmosphere, you should definitely check out Art Castle.

At Art Castle, they are not just classes. Its like family. The owner has created an amazing environment for our kids to come to and create. My daughter comes home with beautiful art. I look forward as well to see what they will make! 
Tracy Malmstrom, goes above and beyond for our children at Art Castle. Like I said they are not just classes, it is a family of Art.
Cant wait for Kids night again. That is still the topic in our house.
